Joint pain deserves a clear assessment
When knee, hip or shoulder pain gets in the way of daily life, a clinical evaluation can help identify what may be contributing to it and clarify the right next step.
At TheraStem Medical Clinic in Naples, our clinical team reviews your medical history, evaluates the affected area and discusses care options based on your findings and goals.
Two ways to get evaluated
Come in to our Naples clinic, or start with a telehealth consultation from home.
In-person evaluation: $100
About 45 to 60 minutes. Includes your clinical evaluation plus one focused shockwave or Class IV laser therapy session for the affected area. The treatment is optional.
Telehealth consultation: $75
About 30 to 45 minutes. Go over your symptoms, medical history and any imaging or reports you have, and talk through next steps with a clinician from home.
When to schedule
Signs it’s time for an evaluation
Pain limits what you do every day
Walking, stairs, exercise or sleep. If discomfort is cutting into any of them, it’s worth a closer look.
Symptoms persist or keep coming back
Pain that lingers for weeks, or returns after rest, injections or therapy, deserves a fresh assessment.
You want a second look at imaging or advice
Bring prior X-rays, MRIs and treatment recommendations, and go over them with a clinician who’ll explain the findings.
Care decisions start with the assessment
There’s no single treatment for every cause of joint pain. Our clinical team explains the findings, discusses the benefits and limits of appropriate options, and tells you when another specialist may be a better fit.
Treatment is recommended only after an evaluation. The visit is a chance to understand your options, with no promise of a particular treatment or result.
What happens during your visit
1. Tell us what’s happening
Your clinician asks about your symptoms, medical history, daily activities, prior care and goals.
2. Review the available information
The clinician performs an appropriate assessment and reviews any imaging or records you bring. Additional testing or a referral may be recommended when needed.
3. Leave with a next step
You get a recommendation based on the findings. That may be rehabilitation, another service, further evaluation or a referral to a different clinician.
What to bring
Any X-ray or MRI reports, a current medication list and notes on treatments you’ve tried. If you don’t have imaging, call the office and ask whether an evaluation makes sense for you.

FAQ
Questions about the joint pain evaluation
What to expect on cost, timing and your first visit.
How long does the evaluation take?
The evaluation itself usually takes 30 to 45 minutes, enough time for the clinician to understand your symptoms, review your history and identify appropriate options. An in-person visit runs about 45 to 60 minutes when you choose the included shockwave or Class IV laser treatment for one body area. Telehealth consultations take 30 to 45 minutes.
What does the evaluation cost?
The telehealth consultation is $75 and the in-person evaluation is $100. The goal is to find out whether you may be a candidate for our non-surgical treatment options and to build a personal plan for next steps.
Do I need an X-ray or MRI before my appointment?
No. You don’t need new imaging before your evaluation. If you already have an X-ray, MRI, CT scan or other diagnostic report, bring it so the clinician can review the relevant findings.
Will I receive treatment during my first visit?
Your first visit starts with the clinical evaluation. The clinician assesses your condition, discusses your symptoms and goals, and explains any treatment options that may fit. At an in-person visit you can also choose a focused shockwave or Class IV laser treatment to one body area. Any regenerative or other medical treatment is discussed with you before anything moves forward.
What happens after the evaluation?
If treatment is recommended, our team explains the options, what the process involves, the pricing and the next steps. Your plan is based on your condition, goals, medical history and the clinician’s findings.
